Private Party Spots in Dallas: Not Another Fancy Dinner

Finding a spot for a private party in Dallas can feel like a part-time job. Every year, I spend way too much time calling places, checking vibes, and comparing prices. You’ve already done the fancy dinner thing a dozen times, or hosted one too many events at Park House — and it’s time to mix it up. To save you the headache, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite overlooked spots — so you can skip the stress and still impress. Beverley's Back Room
Did you know Beverley’s has a secret back room? Same — and I’ve eaten there more times than I can even remember.
I have this little habit: after a few drinks, I turn into a bartender’s worst nightmare — cozying up and oversharing like it’s free therapy. One night, while complaining about not knowing where to throw my birthday party, the staff finally let me in on Beverley’s best-kept secret: the back room.
Hidden just past the patio, Beverley’s private space comes complete with a full bar, curated dinner seating, plush booths, and cocktail tables. It’s a more intimate space — ideal for under 40 guests — with all the charm of a speakeasy and an effortless way to impress.

Sundown at Granada's Rooftop
If you're trying to throw a full-blown banger without taking out a second mortgage, Sundown at Granada’s rooftop might be the way to go.
I threw a party for 80 people there — 4-hour rental, food, booze, and two bartenders — all for around $2,500. I even had enough left over to book a live band. (Mind you, this was pre-tariff era). It was hands down the best hosting experience I’ve ever had. Their team handled everything — I basically just showed up in party mode. While Sundown leans more casual by day, the string lights at night really elevate the vibe and give it a dressed-up feel. And they’ve got heaters built into the covered area, which is clutch when Dallas decides to pretend it's cold. The food: wildly underrated. Like, suspiciously good. And tons of gluten-free options, so my friends from Cali could eat without spiraling.
Joe Leo's Upstairs Picture this: it’s your bestie’s birthday. You want a cute, intimate happy hour before unleashing chaos on the city. Enter: Joe Leo’s upstairs lounge.
This is a simple, low-maintenance option for small groups only (30 max), but you still get your own bartender, a full bar, and a vibey space to ease into the night. You’re upstairs, away from the crowd with lots of seats. Not a full menu — but who’s eating heavy before tequila anyway?

Terilli's
This one might run up the tab a bit, but if you're aiming for something elegant and elevated — it’s worth every penny. Think: little black dress, a filthy martini, and a warm, candlelit ambiance that sets the mood just right.
Terilli’s has a stunning second-floor indoor space that’s perfect for private dining. It fits up to 75 guests standing and comes with its own private bar — ideal for a stylish, upscale celebration.
If you're leaning toward a rooftop setting, their upstairs patio is sleek. Holds 50 people, has lounge seating, chic stone firepits, great drinks, and elevated apps. It’s giving classic. Serving posh. Screaming money bags. 💅🍸💰
The Adolphus Pool It’s a little unexpected — but absolutely iconic for summer birthdays. You lucky summer babies have it so easy. Day drinking with the sun out? Yes please. If that’s your vibe — this one’s for you.
The Adolphus has private cabanas at their rooftop pool, and they’re perfect for a bougie little day party. Their deluxe cabana fits up to 10 people for around $350. Got a smaller crew? Grab one. Bigger group? Rent two. Each cabana comes with its own server, two bottles of Moët, and — best of all — complimentary valet. I do recommend carpooling, because I’m not 100% sure how many cars are covered.
If you’re really going for main character energy, book a room. You and your guests can rinse off, glam up, head to dinner at one of the hotel's restaurants, then head downstairs to Rodeo Bar to close out the night — all without ever leaving the hotel. 🚨 PSA: Overnight parking at The Adolphus is $100. Hungover me did not see that coming.
