Being a purebred Parkie, I prefer not to go to the lowest part of Greenville. But because Dallas has slim pickings when it comes to rooftop bars... I decided to see if this one passes the vibe check. Introducing Lowest Greenville's new edition:
Terrazza | DI TRIOZZI
Before I get messy- I went on opening day (literally four hours in). There’s a lot of potential here. Let’s start with the good.
Things I liked:
Terrazza | DI TRIOZZI sits above Via Triozzi, the beloved Italian spot that’s been serving traditional dishes for nearly two years. Same owners, different vibes—Terrazza brings rooftop energy with lite bites, while Via keeps it cozy and classic downstairs.
Via Triozzi (downstairs):
The rooftop has plush seating and a relaxed, seat-yourself vibe. Walk-ins only—unless you’ve got 6+ people, then you can reserve a lounge table.
The cocktails were good and I'm picky.
Staff was so nice and our waiter was one handsome fella ;)
Things I did not like:
The cocktails upstairs were served in plastic cups. Yep, that cute pink drink in the pic at the top? Plastic. In the Texas heat, plastic = lukewarm cocktail in under five minutes.
The food needs work. The Giardiniera? Straight-up vinegar water with a salt chaser. I sent it back, the manager apologized, and we all pretended it never happened. Bless opening day.
The music playing sounded like the soundtrack of Charlie Brown.
Overall, I’m still dreaming about that grapefruit spritz—it was that good. I’ll probably give it a few weeks to work out the kinks, but I won’t wait too long. In Dallas, a rooftop is a rooftop—good, bad, or mid, they all end up packed. I give this one a mid score for now.
