The Date Spot That Whispers "You'll Never Top This"

If you’re looking for a date spot that ruins all future date spots—Bar Colette is it.  I’ve never had so many involuntary facial expressions in one meal. Every bite, every sip had me and my date doing full 👀 “Did that just happen?” faces across the table.

To my man: sorry in advance. The bar for date nights is set unreasonably high now... and there’s no going back.

Their cocktails knock it out of the freaking park. But before we get to that, let’s talk about the appetizer that had me logging back into my blog to rewrite an already-finished post. What was a Top 10 Appetizer list is now a Top 11, because this dish demanded a seat at the table. They call it SAKE—salmon nigiri lathered in their signature lemony vinaigrette that tastes like pure magic. And my God, she’s stunning.

Cocktail time. These bartenders are full-blown wizards. Sit at the bar if you can—watching their in-sync choreography and hearing them geek out over their potion-making process is half the fun. If Austin’s behind the bar, you’re in great hands. Don’t be shy—chat him up.

Now for the best cocktail I’ve ever had: The Parfait.

I never would’ve picked it—lavender Grey Goose, pear, spiced red wine? It sounded like a candle. But the bartender shipped it so hard. One sip and my soul left my body. Mind blown. Bartender smirking. Order it. I beg of you.

This place is basically perfect. If you’re trying to impress someone, bring them here. The vibe is effortlessly chic—cozy tables, soft lighting, and the cutest patio under an arched plexiglass roof. Peak date-night energy.

I can’t believe it took my lazy ass this long to get here. I’d heard the hype… and now I’ve already got another reservation locked in.

Barely a year and a half old and already a 2025 James Beard finalist for Best New Bar (per the bartender, and I believe him). I don’t see anyone else snatching that title. When it comes to quality and flavor, they’re untouchable.
